Meetings are not discrete events, but rather a process. The effectiveness of a meeting is as dependent upon successful management of the process elements before and after the meeting, as upon the activities during the meeting itself. All three elements of the process will be covered in this programme.

. Plan effectively for meetings you are responsible for running
. Produce an effective meetings agenda
. Manage a meeting to ensure all agenda points are covered and all participants are involved
. Take an active and constructive role in meetings which you do not run
. Ensure that actions agreed in the meeting are implemented
. Confidently use technology employed in meetings
. Produce effective meetings minutes

Typical programme content will include:
Preparing for a meeting
Writing a meetings agenda
:Managing the meeting - procedures and techniques
The role of the meeting leader
The role of meeting participants
Effective follow-up to a meeting
. Audio/video conferencing (If relevant)
This programme covers the required actions prior to the meeting of all those attending, meetings procedures and also effective follow-up techniques. During the afternoon you will participate in a full meeting that will be observed and critiqued.
