case study: blick rothenberg chartered accountants - building the management team
In search of management training for all levels of managers in their organisation, Blick Rothenberg commissioned Training Focus to develop and deliver a customised and integrated 9-month management training programme.
Training Focus started this process by undertaking a detailed training needs analysis, interviewing a range of individuals across the entire organisation to gain a clear picture of the issues that needed to be addressed by the training programme. Those interviewed ranged from receptionists and juniors through to managers and partners.
The programme that emerged from the TNA process consisted of two, inter-linking levels of management development training:
Many of the core topics covered in the Management Level Training Programme were developed further at the Senior Management Level e.g. core communication skills in Managing your Team further developed in Advanced Communication Skills at the Senior Management level.
Each module of the training programme included development and
practice of core skills. In addition time was spent developing
strategies, tactics and action plans to ensure managers were focused
new skills to the workplace.
The results of the 9-month training programme have been clear to see. Specific examples of behavioural changes identified in the post implementation review process are set out in the table below. Senior partner, Bob Rothenberg comments “Training Focus helped us to concentrate our minds on the needs of the management team. The training programme they designed and developed ensured that those needs were met. ”
