JPMorgan
is a leader in investment banking, asset management, private equity, custody
and transaction services, middle market financial services and e-finance. Their
clients include the world's most prominent corporations, governments, wealthy
individuals, institutional investors and middle market clients.
In 1996 JPMorgan developed an
end-to-end, software product, known as Arcordia to support its stock
market derivatives trading. In 1998 an arm of JPMorgan, known as Arcordia, was
established with the aim of selling Arcordia externally to other
banks trading in derivatives. Understanding that all internal staff and
external
clients using this software support system would require extensive
training in the use of the system, JPMorgan decided to train a number of
internal business
analysts in the design and delivery of this training. They invited
a number of training organisations to tender for the development and delivery
of a suite of
appropriate programmes, including Training Needs Analysis, Train
the Trainer and Presentation Skills.
Training Focus were awarded this prestigious
contract and, working alongside the internal trainers, developed
a six-day programme that transformed fledgling presenters into confident,
enthusiastic
and professional trainers, capable of successfully launching the
Arcordia system within JPMorgan and its clients.
Having designed and delivered
this core training programme, Training Focus then worked alongside
the JPMorgan trainers, on a consultancy basis over the following year,
assisting them in the
design and development of the Arcordia software training programmes.
