Aim To learn the skills required to be able to prepare for and deliver a structured, professional and effective presentation, with confidence. Who should attend? This programme is designed for those who lack confidence or are new to presentations. For those more experienced the day will provide insights into further improvements that can be made and habits that need to be broken. Do you have a presentation looming on the horizon? Does public speaking scare you? Do you lose sleep the night before a presentation? Do you watch other presenters and wish that you could do that? If any of these questions apply to you, attend this programme and learn how the professionals do it. Outline The secret of effective presenting is preparation and practice. You will be given the opportunity to do both during this programme. Initially, delegates will be helped to prepare a ten-minute, self-contained presentation on a subject of their choice. The structure and content of the presentation will be developed using a systematic, step-by-step process. Building confidence and handling nerves will also be covered. Each delegate will deliver their presentation to the group in a friendly, non-threatening environment. Each presentation will be individually critiqued, improved upon and delivered again. All aspects of presentations are covered including audience control and the use of presentation media. All delegates undertake presentations within this programme. The longer the programme the more advanced the projects become. |
